There is only an imported UK\u00a0brand called\u00a0Smash<\/a> ((originally made by Cadburys, and now owned by Knorr, I believe)) that turns out a result exactly<\/em> mirroring the texture of\u00a0wallpaper paste. Here in the land of Real Potatoes, Smash is mostly famous for its silly \u201870\u2019s commercials<\/a>\u00a0featuring Martians mocking the\u00a0food habits of those primitive\u00a0Earthlings;\u00a0apparently\u00a0British viewers once voted these\u00a0the best TV commercials of all time.) Disclaimer: I have sometimes brought home the \u201cPotato Buds\u201d brand for use when I can\u2019t be bothered to boil the real thing. But this would be rare, and a box of Potato Buds would normally last me 3\u20136 months. That last brand they describe, though? Wow.
