(sigh) Well, today’s the day. It’s time to bite the bullet and upgrade to XP.<\/p>\n

I’ve been putting this off for months, but I knew it would happen eventually. Ryoh-ohki (my laptop) came with XP installed, and I’ve had less trouble with it than with any version of Windoze I’ve ever used. So…time to inflict it on the big machine, Calanda, and get rid of ME (which has been the most troublesome and wretched OS of all time, at least in this household: I rue the day I ever installed it).<\/p>\n

So it’s time to get the electric screwdriver, remove all the boards that might conceivably interfere with the upgrade, and let ‘er rip. Fortunately I have expert help standing by on the phone just in case something goes worng.<\/p>\n
