This has been a difficult time for both Peter and me, but we&#8217;re beginning to pull things together again. We&#8217;ll always miss Bubble: that doesn&#8217;t change. The relative silence in the house &#8212; for she was genuinely the world&#8217;s talkiest cat, with a sound effect for everything &#8212; is tough to take sometimes.  Nonetheless (however soppy it sounds to say it) she wouldn&#8217;t have liked us to be sad for very long. Bubble&#8217;s basic &#8220;ground-of-being&#8221; level, when not sleeping with truly impressive intensity, was to be bouncing around doing things at maximum speed, enjoying herself and trying to draft everyone else available into the game. <a HREF=\"http:\/\/boredoftherings.150m.com\/bored_fanart.html\"><img ALIGN=\"RIGHT\" BORDER=\"0\" ALT=\"Stomper\" SRC=\"http:\/\/www.owlsprings.com\/img\/stomper.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Secondary to that, a couple of web resources have turned up which lightened the mood a whole lot over the last week, or in some cases reduced me to tears of laughter.<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/amethyst-angel.com\/bored_of_the_rings.html\">The &#8220;Bored of the Rings&#8221; website<\/a> (don&#8217;t miss the <a HREF=\"http:\/\/boredoftherings.150m.com\/bored_fanart.html\">fanart<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.dudestudios.com\/mainpage.htm\">Star Dudes:<\/a> especially &#8220;The Phantom Dude&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/web.mit.edu\/afs\/athena.mit.edu\/user\/d\/r\/dryfoo\/www\/Funny-pages\/republic-dogs.html\">Quentin Tarantino meets Plato&#8217;s <i>Republic<\/i><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/intuitor.com\/moviephysics\/index.html\">Insultingly Stupid Movie Physics<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/incrediblehulk.blogspot.com\/\">Hulk&#8217;s Diary That Is On The Internet<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And oh dear&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.bubblegun.com\/features\/queenmum.html\">Ten things you didn&#8217;t know about the Queen Mum<\/a> (Not the slightest bit less funny because she&#8217;s dead.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least it works that way for me.
