A couple of days in Minneapolis now, and getting somewhat grounded (and as usual on one of these trips, as soon as we get that way, it’ll be time to leave).<\/p>\n

The convention looks strangely familiar (no surprise, since this is the same hotel as was home to previous Minicons we’ve attended). A lot of familiar faces, too. Today we may actually get into the dealer’s room. Saw the rough-cut trailer for “The Two Towers” yesterday (heh heh: Oboyoboyoboy). The pool and hot tub look inviting: maybe later.<\/p>\n

Most interesting sight seen so far (besides the “Two Towers” trailer): A raven sitting in the parched grass of a freeway offramp, panting. You’d pant too if you were outside in the sun wearing black the other day: the temperature had to be in the high eighties.<\/p>\n
