So the end-of-year holidays are approaching – a busy time for everybody who sells books – and it’s time to think a little about adding some names to the Ebooks Direct mailing list.
At the top of this post you’ll see an ARC of Games Wizards Play. I imagine some people would really like to read this book before 2/2/2016, the book’s release date.
Here’s how you can win a chance to do that.
Click here and add your name to the Ebooks Direct mailing list at MailChimp. There are a number of good reasons to do this – list subscribers get special offers and discounts we don’t offer to the general public. But right now the best reason to do so is that signing up for the list right now will put your name (well, your email address anyway) in the hat to win the above ARC. Signed and personalized to you (or the person of your choosing), of course.
You have until 23:59 UTC on November 20, 2015 to sign up. On Saturday the 21st I’ll pull out the email addresses of everybody who signed up between now and the end of the contest, number them, use a random number generator to pick one, and announce the lucky winner.
And yes, of course you’re going to get a promotional offer from the Ebooks Direct store before Black Friday, but it’ll be full of discounts deeper than we’ll be offering to the general public, and there may be a free goodie or two in there that only our subscribers will be able to take advantage of. (You should know just in passing, though, that we do NOT share our mailing list info with anybody, and of course you can unsubscribe from the list at any time. We don’t send out mails from the list more than once every couple of months, anyway: we try not to be a bother.)
So… interested? Click here to get your name in the game. I’ll repost this message a couple of times over the next ten days, just to remind people. But if you do it now, you won’t forget… 🙂
Good luck, all! (And feel free to reblog this if you know anybody who might be interested.)
ETA: For those already subscribed to the mailing list: You don’t need to sign up again, or do anything at all. You’ll be hearing something more on this subject in the next ten days. This particular offer is for new mailing list members only. Also: this is nothing to do with whether or not you have an account at the Ebooks Direct store. This is only about whether you’re signed up to the store’s mailing list.
