As the water out in the little pond warms up, I notice that one of the shubunkin is spending a lot of time chasing one of the orfe. (I assume it’s the same orfe…it’s kind of hard to tell them apart: their markings aren’t anything like as individual as the shubunkins’ are.)
Fish bullying…just when I needed one more thing to worry about. Is there a cure for this, I wonder? (Wry look. And what in the world would that be? Am I supposed to dock the shubunkin’s allowance or something? Or net him out of the pond and give him a good talking-to every time he misbehaves? Yeah, I can just see that.)
Probably I shouldn’t waste my time worrying about this.
Then again…we were thinking about putting in a smaller pond in the back. Maybe we could just separate them…
Never mind. I think this problem will probably be best solved at the moment by administering myself some caffeine.
